...About us ..
"Etruria 2000" Beagle Kennels takes its name from the geographical location in which it is located. We are situated in northern Lazio, amongst the prime and most important known Etruscan cities. Our dogs have all been re-baptized with names recalling Etruscan places and characters.
Our objective is to foster and spread knowledge and awareness of this fantastic breed. Our love for Beagles came into being more than 10 years ago with a little puppy that we got almost by chance. From that day on our life changed, with us dedicating every moment of our free time to getting to know and better understand every single aspect of the breed. The long and meticulous work of research and selection which has been carried out through dog shows, contests with judges and fellow breeders, has allowed us today to have an extremely high qualitative level.
We are constantly striving to improve and better ourselves – we set out as founding members of the Club, which we then chose to leave in order to pursue a broader, more international path.
As of the present time, we have had the honour of having as a guest at our Kennels and to become great friends with Eeva Reesko, highly prestigious judge and owner of the Daragoj Kennels, together with whom we have already carried out several coverings with her own dogs. Another of our great friends is the Frenchman Christophe Duval, from Of Pip's Made who has been to visit us many times, and with whom we have a strong friendship and collaboration. Leanne Coffey, judge and owner of the most famous Australian Kennels Beagelee, is also a most helpful, willing and great friend of the Beagle world. It was with great simplicity that these new international friendships came into being and they have given us and continue to teach us a great deal, going well beyond our national knowledge and experience. We met also Judy Formisano, of Springfield kennel in New York. Thanks to Judy we imported Springfield's Long Shot for incres a quality of etrurias' kennel. Also from American we met Lesley and David Hilts, Judges and owners of the most important Kennels in America, Starbuck Torbay.
We have created the Beagle Social Day, with the assistance of Tino Neri, Lorenzo Salti and other friends. As the most joyous event in Italy, it has seen up to 100 beagles take part in each edition. We intend to continue to bring together and get together with all those who have a passion for Beagles, asking for nothing in return, other than their own testimonies and experiences.
